Satisfy your taste buds with an array of delectable delights from numerous local food trucks, all conveniently located in Capstone. This exciting event takes place every Friday, weather permitting, until the end of September.

ROSS STREET PATIO LIVE MUSIC  

Experience a Summer of Unforgettable Music at the Ross Street Patio! Embracing the incredible talent of local musicians and bands, the Patio serves as the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable atmosphere. Enjoy these free, public events and immerse yourself in the vibrant melodies. As an officially designated Entertainment district, the Ross Street Patio allows you to enjoy alcoholic beverages from local vendors during designated times.

CENTRAL ALBERTA CHILDREN’S FESTIVAL  

The Central Alberta’s Children Festival aims to promote the benefits and values of the performing arts with over 40 tents and activity stations that fill the park each year to keep everyone active and keep their imaginations running. Stations include bubble wrap popping, Science World, Diversity Corner, glitter tattoos, fun physical activities and more. All of these stations allow children and families the opportunity to be creative, build knowledge and most importantly, HAVE FUN!

VIEWPOINT GALLERY OPENING RECEPTION  

Step into the captivating world of artist Emily Promise Allison at the opening reception of her exhibition, Futility Index, held at the Viewpoint Gallery. The reception will take place on Friday, June 2nd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

SUMMER KICK-OFF PARTY AT GASOLINE ALLEY FARMERS MARKET

Gasoline Alley Farmers' Market is a bustling indoor marketplace located in Red Deer County. They are celebrating the start of the warm season with our Summer Kick-Off Party at the market. Bring the family along to enjoy a day of free activities and entertainment. They are setting up activities and entertainment in the west parking lot (patio side) from 1-4pm. From live music from Dean Ray, face painter, and bouncy castle.

 DRIVE IN MOVIE AT GASOLINE ALLEY FARMERS MARKET

Join them for a Drive-In Movie at the market, where they will be screening the 1995 classic family movie, 'Jumanji' (rated PG) at 6:30 pm. The movie will start at 6:30 pm, with doors open at 6 pm. One parking stall ticket costs $28, and that will give access to everyone in your car for the evening. That's also where you can access the washrooms.

THE MARKET AT RED DEER

The Market at Red Deer is taking place on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at its brand-new location, Red Deer Polytechnic. This bustling market operates every Saturday from the May long weekend through to Thanksgiving weekend, welcoming visitors from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm. Prepare to be captivated as the Market brings a plethora of farm-fresh produce and an extensive selection of goods, services, and entertainment right into the heart of Red Deer.

DISCOVERY CANYON IS NOW OPEN

Discovery Canyon Park is now open and it's the perfect destination to enjoy a delightful summer day. This park offers a one-of-a-kind lazy river, a beautiful beach area, a spacious nature-themed playground, a convenient concession stand, picnic tables, and clean washrooms. Families are welcome to bring their own tubes for the lazy river adventure or purchase a wristband for tube usage at just $6. The park is open daily from 11 am to 7 pm, subject to weather conditions.

CANYON COASTER

LACOMBE MUSEUM  

The Flatiron Building Museum Gallery will be hosting an exhibit: Country Hall, Community Hubs an exhibit by the Lacombe Museum. Immerse yourself in the thriving communities of Lacombe County’s rural districts from their very beginnings. When neighbours banded together to build rural schools in a brand new province, through the many dances and suppers hosted in schools and community halls, to community halls as they survive today.

BOWER PONDS PADDLE BOATS
