1. Capstone is hosting a Fall Festival on Saturday, October 22 and Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Join them in Canada 150 Square for the free & family-friendly Capstone Fall Festival! ⁠Enjoy food and beverages, live music, prizes, a petting zoo, crafts, and more. ⁠Get together to sip on Troubled Monk beverages for adults, and sodas for kids in the beverage garden.⁠ The first 100 people to visit the Discovery Bus can cozy up with a free Dose Hot Chocolate or Hot Apple Cider Spiced Tea. Plus, they have fun games to play and a spot for a fall photo op.⁠ Wannawafel will be serving up sweet & savoury treats to warm you up from the inside out.⁠ Listen to live music from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm each day: on Saturday, country music with Alecia Aichelle and her band, and on Sunday classic rockin’ with Him & Her Band.⁠ For the kids and the young at heart, we'll have a craft station and the Tilted Tiara Petting Zoo with goats, bunnies, and even an alpaca.⁠ Click here for more infomation.

2. The 6th Annual Central Alberta Film Festival is October 19 - 22 at Carnival Cinemas. The festival will conclude with a formal awards gala at Westerner Park on October 22 where exceptional films and filmmakers receive recognition at a red carpet, black-tie event. 3. Lockdown Escape Room presents the “Haunted Escape – Return of the Headless Horseman.” Open October 13 until October 31 at unit 150 - 4732 60th Ave Red Deer (Riverside Industrial area). A haunted escape is more of a haunt with a twist, whereas you and your group need to solve a few simple puzzles (uv light and other) to make your way through (4 doors). The Headless Horseman and his army put this challenges out to slow groups down enough to deter them from going further. For more information about this fun Halloween event click here.  

4. The Zed Haunted House is back this year from October 19 - October 31, 2022. Special feature nights taking place throughout. Wear a costume, grab some friends, and join them for this fun and interactive haunted attraction.  All proceeds from the event go toward the Boys and Girls Club of Red Deer & District. 5. Signatures Our Best to You is at Westerner Park from Friday, October 21 – Sunday October 23. Signatures Our Best to You is a uniquely Canadian handmade marketplace that features the works of artists, artisans, makers, and designers from coast-to-coast. Since 1991, the show has been an annual holiday tradition where visitors can meet passionate creatives in person, hear their stories, and feel their works first-hand.  

6. The Red Deer Rebels take on the Prince Albert Raiders on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the Peavey Mart Centrium at Westerner Park. The doors open at 6:00 pm and the puck drops at 7:00 pm. Click here for tickets and more information.

7. The Alberta Sports Hall of Fame is hosting their 65th Annual Induction Ceremony on Friday, October 21, 2022, at the Red Deer Polytechnic Arts Centre. Celebrate the achievement of these incredible Alberta athletes. The Hall of Fame has inducted over 1600 members since its inception in 1957. Click here for all the details and to get tickets.  

8. Bo’s Bar and Stage presents “A Spice Girls Tribute Wannabe, the Reunion Tour” with Gallant SG on Friday, October 21, 2022. The doors open at 6:00 pm and the show starts at 9:00 pm. Click here for information and tickets.  

9. Gasoline Alley Harley Davidson will be having a Customer Appreciation Celebration on Saturday, October 22, 2022 starting at 9:00 am. Join them for a day of great sales, prizes, live entertainment, and a spectacular deep-fried turkey dinner starting at 12:00 pm.
