It’s going to be a beautiful weekend, so why not pull out the skates and go down to Bower Ponds. Visitors in from out of town, not to worry  Bower Ponds Recreation has you covered, with rentals for the whole family and even pull sleds for those little guys. Skate Sharpening is another service they provide and for the first-timers a selection of skating aides. They even have a pavilion to warm up in if you’re a little cold and yes there is hot chocolate for sale.

The Red Deer Rebels
are playing at the Peavey Mart this Friday and Saturday at 7:00 pm and there are still tickets available so come on down and support our local team. If you are hungry and thirsty you can still enjoy a bite to eat or a beverage or two at the Parkland Pavilion behind section W, during the game and at intermission.

Join the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame virtually as we celebrate Alberta's great athletes, sport builders, pioneers, and media personnel. The production will be streamed on YouTube on Sunday, January 30 at 4:00 MDT. with attendees from across the province, the west, and Canada. The event not only honours these great Albertans but also recognizes the importance of sport in our lives and communities.

Head on up to Lacombe Flatiron Building Museum and check out the 1867 Rebellion and Confederation exhibition created by the Canadian Museum of History. By presenting the pivotal moments that led to the drafting of the British North America Act, this exhibition helps visitors recognize a legacy that is still echoed in our identity, our values, and our institutions.

The Red Deer Museum + Art Gallery is hosting an Art talk this Saturday starting at 2:00 pm with Arto Djerdjerian on his 6-year process in photographing Ya Ha Tinda, The Ranch. This talk is open to in-person attendees and you must pre-register online, you can also watch it Livestream by going to Youtube or on their Facebook.

If you are Fully Committed, then join Central Alberta Theatre at the festival hall this weekend for their dinner theatre. This Broadway hit comedy Fully Committed is a scathing poke at the foodie culture. For more information and tickets please visit the Central Alberta theatre website and support your local theatre, you will be glad you did.
