1. SUMMER TUBING – GRAND OPENING

Join us at Canyon Ski Resort for the official grand opening of the summer tubing tracks! This attraction is available for all ages 4 years and up and offers two 453-foot tube tracks for your enjoyment, making it the longest of its kind in Western Canada. After an exhilarating evening on the tracks, visitors are welcome to treat themselves and purchase food and beverages in the upper village.

2. CAPSTONE CABARET – The Button Down Boys

Enjoy this free outdoor concert series in the captivating community of Capstone and spoil yourself with some food truck treats! Headlining the event will be The Button Down Boys featuring Greg Leblanc and Rick Moore of Red Deer. The duo will be joined by Lee Foote and Brian Ficht as they come together in this fine foursome and offer up some blissful bluegrass beats!

4. 5K FOAM FEST AT HERITAGE RANCH

The 5K Foam Fest is happening at Heritage Ranch on Saturday, June 24, 2023. This is a one of kind obstacle course-based Fun Run, watch and cheer on the participants who will experience over 22 obstacles including the world's largest inflatable waterslide, mud pits, and 2.5 MILLION cubic feet of foam!

5. LIVE MUSIC ON ROSS STREET PATIO

6. TRADITIONAL POW WOW

In the spirit of reconciliation, The Red Deer Native Friendship Society, community partners, and sponsors welcome you to join them for the 4th Annual Waskasoo Seepee Traditional Pow Wow. This event will feature traditional drums, singers, and dancers in full regalia who will share their skills and cultural expression.

7. SOUNDS LIKE SUNDAYS

Offering a mix of genres and band sizes, the Sounds Like Sundays summer music series is a free public concert for all to enjoy. This weekend, they welcome The Polka Dots, a six-piece band formed in 2021 with members from Innisfail and Red Deer. This traditional Oompah band features the trumpet, tuba, trombone, drums, and two clarinets that come together to play polkas, waltzes, and even some rock and pop tunes!

8. CURTIS LABELLE CONCERT AT THE SCOTT BLOCK THEATRE

Reuniting his band for their last show together in western Canada, Curtis Labelle will be bringing the house down at the Scott Block Theatre. Opening for Labelle is last year's Red Deer Battle of The Bands winner The Dillmans, and joining him on stage are special guests Jeremy Doody and Claude Godin. This is a combination of talents you can’t miss!

9. POP-UP ROLLER RINK

The Penhold Regional Multiplex invites you to their roller-skating event where they transform their incredible arena into a roller rink for an evening full of fun! Roller skate rentals are available for $10 + GST and all children under the age of 16 are required to wear a helmet.

10. GASOLINE ALLEY FARMERS MARKET: LETTUCE GROW WORKSHOP

Explore the world of lettuce varieties and handpick your favorites to create a beautiful, vibrant lettuce garden bowl. Joined by experts from The Jungle Farm, you’ll learn how to care for your lettuce so you can enjoy it for as long as possible. Participants will also receive homemade Jungle Farm berry vinaigrette to pair with their freshly harvested greens!
