1. FORT NORMANDEAU DAYS 2023

Step into the past and celebrate life as it was back in 1885 at the Crossing, during Fort Normandeau Days 2023! Join us for a fantastic lineup of activities, including thrilling battle re-enactments, axe throwing, hands-on mini workshops, live music, indigenous dancing, the ancient art of iron smelting, a canon demonstration, and so much more! Don’t miss out on Fort Normandeau’s biggest party of the summer, and don’t forget to bring cash for admission and any additional purchases.

2. PIONEER DAYS AT SUNNYBROOK FARM

Join us for a weekend filled with timeless festivities and wonderful moments at Pioneer Days at Sunnybrook Farm! Indulge in a delightful pioneer breakfast, witness the charm of antique cars and tractors, savor homemade pies, peruse the silent auction, relish a variety of treats from the concession, and discover even more surprises awaiting you! 3. LACOMBE HARVEST DINNER

Enjoy a Harvest Dinner hosted by the Lacombe Museum, featuring Guest Chefs from Lacombe & District. Experience a locally sourced, farm-to-fork culinary event celebrating Lacombe’s uniqueness. This fundraiser supports the Love Lacombe Heritage Campaign, dedicated to preserving and sharing our local history and culture. The dinner takes place near the iconic Flatiron Building on 49C Avenue, with an indoor backup option at the Lacombe Memorial Centre for inclement weather.

4. DAY ON PRENTISS ROAD WITH ELLIS BIRD FARM

Take advantage of this exciting collaboration between Ellis Bird Farm and Sunflower Valley Farms for their Day on Prentiss Road event! Receive discounted admission at Sunflower Valley Farms for adults and free admission for youth under 16. All admission proceeds will be generously donated to Ellis Bird Farm and there will be local vendors on-site. At Ellis Bird Farm, engage in activities like crafting with a sunflower and bird seed theme, delightful pond dipping, and savoring delicious meals at the café. 5. MYSTERIES OF THE NIGHT AT KERRY WOOD NATURE CENTRE

Experience the night life of the Gaetz Lake Sanctuary at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre! Take a walk through this beautiful bird sanctuary as the nocturnal residents take flight in the night. As most people prepare for bed, you will be enjoying an experience few others have! Everyone is welcome to participate in this free event and drop-ins are welcome. Please ensure you dress appropriately for the activity and weather conditions.
