With restrictions beginning to be lifted, it is time to think about enjoying the vibrant music and the performing arts scene here in Red Deer. Here are a few things happening in March that will get your toes tapping and your heart singing as we enjoy what Red Deer has to offer.

1. Bo’s Bar and Stage is a wonderful venue with tasty food and live music to suit every taste. This month they have several talented bands from St. Groove & Friends Dinner Jam a collection of the musician performing uniquely arranged sets to Dan Mangan – All Together Now 2022, the Snotty Nose Rez Kids, and Braids with Rebecca Raabis. Make sure you take in Don’t Call It a Comeback Fest, 2 Epic nights 20 local Bands on March 5 and March 12 and all the door revenue goes straight back to these amazing local artists. St Patrick's Day is just around the corner and Bo’s is bringing it in with The Discmen and St. Patrick's Day surprises, make sure you book your table.

2. The Downtown Red Deer Association presents The Red-Hot Hayseeds as part of their Ross Street Patio Winter Performances happening through the winter and spring, a fantastic way to enjoy some local talent.

3. Musical Theatre is back as well as the Lindsay Thurber High school presents Legally Blonde the Musical a fabulously fun award-winning musical happening at the Red Deer Polytechnic March 13-14, and 16-17. Who doesn’t love the music of ABBA and Huntington Hills High School will have us crooning to Mamma Mia, happening at the Red Deer Memorial Theatre March 2-3. 4. Red Hart Brewing is always bringing in great Talent and on March 18th Mike Edel- Can I Still Do this Tour is back with Medicine Hat’s Kyle Church, Tickets are limited.

5. There are still limited tickets for Cowboy Kicks, a fund-raising experience featuring special Guest Brett Kissel, Friday, March 18 at the Peavey Mart Centrium. Enjoy an intimate experience performance from our special guest, a hearty western meal, a charity auction, and a raffle, a wonderful way to support the Westerner Park Foundation and the Canadian Pro Rodeo Sport Medicine Team.
