Looking up runs at Canyon Ski Hill

Let’s start the weekend by heading to Historic Markerville for their annual Christmas Cookie Walk. Although the vendors will not be in attendance this year as in the past, thousands of prepackaged homemade cookies will be available at Fensala Hall, both Friday and Saturday, from 12:00 pm till 5:00 pm.

Horse drawn sleigh through Christmas LightsWinter Night Light Friends and Family Packages are back at the Heritage Ranch, a fun evening with family, friends or that special someone. Enjoy a 30-minute Private Horse Drawn Sleigh Ride complete with Hot Chocolate through the beautiful lights. Afterwards, you will indulge in a unique 3-course dining experience. Kids’ options are also available.

The Festival of Trees is going virtual starting this weekend, Saturday, November 14-28. The beautiful trees and silent auction items will be shown off via video. You will be able to view the auction catalogue and place bids online from any computer and mobile device through reddeerfestivaloftrees.ca/auction. Skiing anyone, Canyon Ski Resort has officially opened for skiing and snowboarding from 10 am to 5 pm this Friday and 9 am to 5 pm Saturday and Sunday. Make sure you check out their website for updates and Covid19 procedures.

Alberta Virtual Artist Alley, a collaborative online store opening event, is happening this weekend, November 13 – 15. It’s a chance to support your favourite artists and to get as close as possible to the convenience of an in-person Artist Alley from the safety of your home.

The Holiday Market is back at the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, from 10 am to 4 pm. From Home décor, homemade treats, jewelry and crafts, there is a little something for everyone.

Although Cow Patti’s theatre production of Lunenburg by Norm Foster is sold out this weekend, make sure to go to their website as there are still a few shows left in November and December.

Multiple decorated Christmas treesBlue Grass Garden Centre will be running their Christmas Markets every Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm till December 20.
