1. It's the opening weekend at the “Light the Night” attraction at Discovery Wildlife Park in Innisfail. Enjoy this festive unique drive-through light display. It starts this Saturday, November 19, 2022, and goes on until January 15, starting at 5:00 pm every night. It is $30 plus GST for a vehicle. Click here for more information.
2. Prime Stock Theatre presents "Games of Love and Chance" on Friday, November 18 at 7:00 pm at the Scott Block Theatre. Love must conquer clever disguises in this delightful comic masterpiece. The Games of Love and Chance was originally written by Pierre de Marivaux at the height of opulence and extravagance during the reign of Louis XV in France. This playful and witty comedy has been newly translated and adapted by Artistic Director, Richard Beaune. Indulge in an evening (or afternoon) of love, laughter and decadent silliness as Red Deer's only professional theatre company brings this sumptuous story of love and deception to life on stage. 3. Kerry Wood Nature Centre is having a Holiday Craft Fair, Join them this Saturday, November 19, and Sunday, November 20, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. It’s a great way to start the holiday season, all items for sale are handcrafted by local artisans. Items include knitted and textile items, many different styles of jewelry, paintings, pottery, resin-based items, kid's and adult clothing, and other accessories. With over 20 vendors from Red Deer and the surrounding area, the Holiday Craft Fair is the perfect opportunity for Central Albertans to shop for the holidays while supporting local small businesses. 4. Baymont by Wyndham is hosting a “Just For You Christmas Craft Show and Market” on Saturday, November 19 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. There is an amazing line up of vendors providing all types of unique shopping experiences. New vendors are at every show, so no two shows are the same. Admission is free. Click here for more details.
5. Parkland Garden Centre is having a Craft and Market Sale on Saturday, November 19 from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Music, local artisans, local vendors, and more. For more information, click here.
6. Watch the Red Deer Rebels play the Brandon Wheat Kings on Saturday, November 19 at the Peavey Mart Centrium. The doors open at 6:00 pm and the game starts at 7:00 pm. Click here for more information and to purchase tickets.
7. Blue Grass Nursery & Sod Farm is hosting its Christmas Market on Sunday, November 20 from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. Join them and local makers throughout the season every Sunday until December 18, 2022. Santa and the Grinch are happy to pop by their winter wonderland every Sunday for pictures with the kids from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm.
