Membership Spotlight | Westerner Park
Westerner Park is Central Alberta’s largest convention, trade show, agriculture, entertainment, and sports facility. Around 1.5 million visitors come through their gates every year to experience over 1,500 unique indoor and outdoor events including tradeshows, agricultural shows, hockey games, concerts, weddings, and graduations. It is home to the Red Deer Rebel hockey team, Westerner Days, the Canadian Finals Rodeo, Agri-Trade, and other world-class, family-friendly events. Generating more than $150 million each year, Westerner Park has a major impact on the economy of Red Deer and surrounding areas.
History
Since 1891, Westerner Park has been a place for Central Albertans to gather and celebrate community events. It is both an agricultural society and a registered non-profit organization with charitable status, so earnings are invested back into the community and facility improvements. Westerner Park’s dedicated staff and a large team of volunteers work hard to ensure this facility remains Central Alberta’s “Destination for Celebration” for generations to come.

From small, intimate family gatherings to large trade shows, concerts, and conventions, Westerner Park can accommodate it in style! Enjoy the VIP experience of a private suite while you and your guests watch a Rebels home game. Celebrate family, friends, or both in a beautiful, rustic chalet with access to a courtyard and outdoor Amphitheatre. Experience a delicious catered banquet in the Harvest Centre or upper-floor convention rooms found above the pavilions. Gaze at one of Alberta’s gorgeous evening sunsets from the luxurious Lookout Room complete with an attached outdoor balcony, a private bar, gas fireplace, and private washrooms. Throw a grand wedding and reception by combining guest access to the indoor Harvest Centre and outdoor Harvest Gardens. Feel the thrill of watching Chuck Wagons tear around the racetrack or admire a horse show in the Equestrian Centre. Horse, cattle, and exotic livestock shows/sales and other agricultural events can be found in the multi-purpose Agricentre.
Peavey Mart Centrium
A landmark of Central Alberta and the true home to “Woolly Bully” and Central Alberta’s home team the Red Deer Rebels, this multi-use facility has accommodated a wide variety of events throughout the years. These include Monster Truck shows, ice capades, major curling events, boxing, rodeos, wrestling, trade shows, marching band competitions, conventions, and concerts. The Peavey Mart Centrium offers the most up-to-date lighting, communications, and audio/visual systems to produce high-quality concert-like acoustical sound at every event.
