At Heritage Ranch, they have something for everyone all year round. Experiences from memorable, safe, and scenic pony and horse trail rides. Or winter horse-drawn sleigh rides as you cozy up with blankets and hot chocolate. For all adrenaline enthusiasts, enjoy the thrill of being a fugitive on the run and trying to escape from the Ranch Tracker as you flee through over 50 acres of the Ranch woods and the rugged environment with nothing more than a map and compass!
Mitchell Pond
Accessible only by foot, a short 10-15 minute walk from Heritage Ranch along the Red Deer trail system. This stocked trout pond has everything to make a family outing enjoyable. Surrounding the pond are vast areas of grass for the kids to play on. There is a small playground, a day-use picnic shelter, and public washrooms and all are accessible within 100 ft of the pond. Contact Heritage Ranch for more information on booking the picnic shelter at Mitchell Pond for your next gathering. Fishing at Mitchell Pond is permitted. However, all Alberta province-wide regulations involving sportfishing must be adhered to.
