Cilantro and Chive is putting together a special Valentine’s menu all weekend long starting at 4:00 pm each day February 11-14, including delicious drink features, Alberta craft beers, and take-home valentine’s mimosa kits. Downtown Red Deer is kicking off Valentine’s this Friday from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm with live music, free hot chocolate, a themed photo booth, and more. Take your honey to the Ross Street patio and cozy up by one of the fire tables while listening to the music of Simon Donovan & Amanda Mitchell. Afterwards, visit the Locks of Love installation and add a signed lock of your own. The downtown is a wonderful place to go for a walk, do a little shopping, stop for a drink, or enjoy a fabulous lunch or dinner with your sweetheart. You might want to head over to Café Millennium just a block over on 49th street for some decadent valentine treats, or maybe try Cakes and Doe for their Valentine cupcakes, they come in a six-pack so delicious.
