Event Schedule
Hours of Operation | Gates open – 10 am | Gates close – 5 pm
Ticket holders are granted access to the airshow starting from 10 am onwards and are required to leave before 5 pm. Please note that the gates to the facility will be closed outside of the times provided.
Festival Activities | 10 am – 5 pm
Throughout the day, visitors can participate in a variety of activities. Enjoy the Props & Pistons show and shine, food trucks, kids zone face painting, beer gardens, and vendor market. There will also be opportunities to meet the aircrew and get an autograph!
Opening Ceremonies | 12:30 pm
Before the afternoon events take flight, attendees will be treated to an opening ceremony, marking the official start of the Red Deer Regional Airshow. This special moment will honor and celebrate the commencement of the event, setting the stage for an unforgettable showcase of aviation excellence.
Main Event | 1 pm – 4 pm
Prepare to be amazed as the Red Deer Regional Airshow unveils its captivating centerpiece. This year’s flying display boasts an impressive lineup that includes the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, CF-18 Hornet Tac Demo, Canadian Armed Forces Skyhawks, Historic Harvard Vintage P-40 Kittyhawk, P-51 Mustangs, Pylon Race Demonstrations, and a host of other breathtaking performances.

How do I purchase tickets for the air show?

What are the ticket prices for the air show?
- Tickets cost $70.56 for a carload of up to seven people. This is a great opportunity for large families and anyone carpooling to the event – which is encouraged. All guests must have a seatbelt in the vehicle, and all guests using the ticket must arrive in a single vehicle.
What if I only need one ticket?
- The event has limited capacity due to road access; therefore, admission is only offered in advance and by the carload.
What is the parking situation at the airport?
- Parking is limited at the Red Deer Regional Airport and carpooling is strongly encouraged. The airshow is not a drive-in format for spectator viewing. After parking, all guests must enter the airshow grounds. Viewing the show from the parking lot is not permitted. No oversized vehicles are permitted (buses, trailers, etc.).
Are outside food and beverages allowed?
- The Red Deer Regional Airshow offers a vast array of food truck options for guests to enjoy! Guests are also allowed to bring their own picnic and non-alcoholic beverages with them. Please note only soft-sided coolers will be allowed. No alcohol is permitted.
Are pets allowed?
- Animals are not permitted onsite during the airshow due to the number of people attending and noise levels. Service animals will be permitted if all appropriate documentation is shown at the gate and all animals must wear an identification vest. We highly recommend ear protection for your service animal as the aviation noise levels can be damaging to their ears.
Are there seating arrangements or should I bring my own chair?
- Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. The VIP Family Chalet will have seating provided.
Is there onsite camping?
- Unfortunately, onsite camping is not available at the airshow. Click here for a list of campgrounds in the area.
What happens in case of inclement weather?
- All aircraft operations are subject to weather, serviceability and other factors and may change without notice. Regardless of the weather conditions, ground displays, activities, and aircrew meet and greets are accessible.
Can I get a refund if I’m unable to attend the air show?
- No refunds will be permitted.

- There are lots of activities for kids at the airshow! Get close and personal with the aircrafts at the Props & Pistons Show & Shine, face painting and games in the Kid Zone, Visit Girls in Aviation Day in the Market to learn about careers in aviation, head over to the autograph tent to meet performers, and more!
