Whether or not you are of Irish descent, St. Patrick’s Day is a beloved tradition and celebrated worldwide with Stouts, green beer, Celtic music, Irish food and of course who could forget the iconic shamrock, for good luck. Here are some fun ways to celebrate and show off your love of all things green, here, in Red Deer.
Beer and St. Patrick’s Day go hand-in-hand and a beverage for any die-hard traditionalist is not only a certainty it is expected. Indulge in the ritual by checking out some of our local brewing establishments like Sawback Brewing Co a taproom-focused Brewery specializing in small-batch craft beer, they are also presenting live music with Pete Stone. Troubled Monk has an amazing selection of beers, sodas, and distilled spirits. Craft Beer Commonwealth in Gasoline Alley or Red Hart Brewing, (did you know it's their birthday) are great places to celebrate or pick up a Growler of their finest to bring home.
If Stouts are more to tickle your fancy, then Cilantro & Chive Red Deer will be featuring a variety of Stouts from some of your favourite Craft Breweries, they'll even throw in some Irish Reds, and Boozy Shamrock Shakes starting at 4:00 pm.
How about a little entertainment and an Irish meal to chase your troubles away? Bo's Bar and Stage will be hosting a St Patrick’s Day Party featuring the Discmen and some other Paddy Day surprises, book your table now and don’t miss out.
