Red Deer River Boat Launch
Enjoy the serenity and splendour of the Red Deer River from the water! Whether paddling a canoe or kayak, power boating or floating the river in a tube or raft, Red Deer and Red Deer County boast beautiful areas in which to enjoy our waterways with a number of publicly accessible boat and canoe launches.

Mckenzie Trail North
Access to McKenzie Trail Recreation Area is from 55 Street; travel north on 45 Avenue until the road ends.
Canoe launch, no vehicle access, parking available.
Open 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
River Bend Golf and Recreation Area
Located on 30 Avenue, just five kilometres north of 67 Street.
Boat launch with vehicle access.
25 Riverview Park
Canoe launch only, no vehicle access.
Open 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m

A-Soo-Wuh-Um Day Use Area
Highway 592 west at Penhold.
Open May 15 to September 30.
Gate opens at 8:00 a.m. and closes at 9:30 p.m.
Joffre Bridge Day Use Area
Highway 11 east of Red Deer.
Open May 15 to September 30.
Gate opens at 9:00 a.m. and closes at 8:30 p.m.
