Home is where the Hart is!
Red Hart Brewing started in a canoe. We had been friends for a long time before embarking on a fateful paddle down the Red Deer River. Over the course of a long weekend, the idea of Red Hart Brewing began to take shape. Somewhere between River Bend and Burbank, our burgeoning head brewer Curtis, having enjoyed several of his own brews, stood up in his canoe with the intention of proudly displaying his bare posterior to the rest of us. He succeeded, but his overconfidence was his undoing, because he was unable to maintain his balance with his shorts around his knees. He fell, spilling the canoe and occupants into the chilly waters of our namesake river. Later, conversation turned to the future as we warmed up around the campfire. The idea of Red Hart Brewing was born.
