The Innisfail Historical Village and the Town of Innisfail invite you to join them for a brand-new winter festival for 2022, Snow and Tumbleweeds this Saturday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. This free event will feature performances by the Guns of the Golden West, ice sculptors, snow art, tea-boiling competitions, and other great activities. 

Head downtown to Ross Street Patio this Friday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm by the fire under a canopy of lights for free Mexican Hot Chocolate from Taco Loft and take in the incredible Ice Sculptures. While there, drop in to some of their local shops like Cakes or Doe or grab a bite at one of the amazing eateries like Famoso Neapolitan Pizzeria, so delicious. 

Kerry Wood Nature Centre presents Discovery Walk, a search for signs of wildlife this Sunday from 1:00 pm to 2: 00 pm. Join an interpreter as they help you identify tracks while on a fun walk through the Gaetz lakes Sanctuary. This drop-in event is $10 + GST a family and everyone who attends this program must wear a mask.

The Red Deer Rebels are hitting the ice this Friday at 7:00 pm at the Peavey Mart Centrium. Bring your family and support the Rebels for a great game against the Brandon Wheat Kings. Tickets can be found online or purchased at the Tickets Alberta Box Office

This is a great weekend to head to Sylvan Lake Winter Village, take in the beautiful lights, roaring bonfires, and the lake skating aglow after dark with colour-changing lighting embedded in the ice surface. 

Have you tried out snow tubing yet at Canyon Ski Hill, if not, this weekend might be a perfect time? Their new and improved Edgar Highspeed Tube Park is located at the top of the hill complete with 6 groomed lanes and they even have fun glow lights for night tubing. Tube Park tickets come in pre-scheduled 2-hour windows and must be booked online. If available, tube tickets may be purchased on the day of your visit. 

Experience the Winter Night lights in your private horse-drawn sleigh at Heritage Ranch. Enjoy the clean, crisp winter air, have a hot chocolate as you warm up next to a fire. Afterward, why not enjoy the fine dining experience at the Westlake Grill.
