Kerry Wood Nature Centre is hosting Whooo’s Out There: An After the Dark Adventure on Saturday, February 18, 2023. After the sun sets on the Sanctuary, a whole new world emerges. Many Sanctuary residents prefer to walk the trails after dark. Join an Interpreter for a hike up the 4km trail and experience the Sanctuary like you've never seen it. Then on Monday, February 20 they are hosting a Family Day Snowshoe Quest. It’s a new adventure every time you attend Snowshoe Quest! Test your Snowshoe skills along the 1 km trail with games and an obstacle course.

Winterfest x The Big Jig is Sylvan Lake's biggest winter festival of the year! Featuring an ice fishing derby with over $7,500+ in prizes, ice slides, skating, winter village lights, sleigh rides and so much more. The volunteers at Sunnybrook Farm Museum are hosting an afternoon of snow activities on Family Day. Children and adults alike can enjoy sliding down the hill by the pond (bring your own toboggan), sleigh rides with a team of Percheron horses, an outdoor marshmallow roast over a fire pit, and for a final warm-up move inside the historic Hanna Log House for some hot chocolate and cookies.
