1. RED DEER CHRISTMAS LIGHTS TOUR

Discover this year's enchanting Christmas Light Tour! AJ Elliot and his father Jim have meticulously curated the finest routes for experiencing the most captivating outdoor Christmas displays in Red Deer. After spending countless hours scouring the city for the most spectacular lights, they've crafted full and shortened routes for a memorable festive experience. For the 2023 routes, click below:

2. PARKLAND GARDEN ICE SCULPTURES

Bring the family and marvel at the captivating Ice Sculptures at Parkland Garden Centre. This year's theme is "Santa's Chariot Returns.” Explore the festive display and experience the magic of the season! They are taking donations to the Red Deer Food Bank.

3. CITY HALL LIGHTS  
Indulge in a relaxed walk through City Hall Park, where you can soak in the captivating showcase of Christmas lights and decorations. The delightful display illuminates the surroundings daily from sunset to sunrise.

4. GASOLINE ALLEY FARMERS MARKET

For the first time ever, they are open during the evenings so you can head on over to the market after work in the lead up to the big day .What you'll find at the market is over 50 local businesses, fresh and delicious produce, meats, pies, and much more, plus pop-up vendors too. They have endless unique gift ideas, so you'll be able to check everyone off your list!

6. BOWER PONDS SKATING

Mark your calendars for the tentatively scheduled opening of Bower Ponds Skating on Saturday, December 23. 7. CROSS COUNTRY SKIING AT RIVERBEND

Enjoy the beauty of cross-country skiing in Red Deer with our ample, groomed trails. River Bend Golf and Recreation Area provides a stunning backdrop with 19 km of meticulously groomed cross-country ski trails, nestled in the picturesque Red Deer River Valley. For those who prefer evening runs, there are 4 km of lighted trails. They also provide cross-country ski rentals. 8. LIGHT THE NIGHT ATTRACTION AT DISCOVERY WILDLIFE PARK
