The Red Deer Arts Council works with local arts organizations, visual, literary and performing artists as well as many community participants to bring arts and culture in our City to the forefront of people’s minds.

Red Deer Arts Council does programs for local schools, workshops for artists’ skills development, have a scholarship and awards program, newsletters that share our members profile to the broader community, address advocacy issues as they arise, support local organizations and individuals involved in arts and culture by offer networking opportunities through an ad campaign “I am the Arts’ and a monthly social at Troubled Monk Brewery, a membership program, weekly listings to members to share events and community events of interest to all.

Red Deer Arts Council supports a non-profit Kiwanis Art Gallery in partnership with the Red Deer Public Library. They have a website, are on Facebook and Twitter and offer marketing opportunities through Pop-Up Galleries, and include performing and literary artists who are offered opportunities for performing and readings, and act as a clearing house for gigs.

Red Deer Arts Council participate fully in Alberta Culture Days in our city’s Red Deer Culture Days by providing staff, volunteer support and artists for many of the events running over the course of 3 days at the end of September.

Our Kiwanis Gallery is located downstairs in the Red Deer Public Library Downtown Branch. This is the public home of the Red Deer Arts Council. Our office is located in the Scott Block building, upstairs.
