The Kerry Wood Nature conveniently provides snowshoe rentals and for little first-timers, they offer family snowshoeing adventure time, for practice at a leisurely pace. At present, their programs and rentals are suspended due to COVID-19 restrictions. However, you can still enjoy their outdoor spaces with your own gear or a good pair of winter boots. The Alberta Sports Hall of Fame is pleased to announce that they will be providing snowshoe rentals for both adults and youth at $5 an hour or $12 for all day . The trails of Heritage Ranch await your exploration just behind their building and is the perfect location to start your winter trek. You might even luck out and spot a horse-drawn sleigh or two as they carry like-minded explorers over the snow-covered fields. The Riverbend Golf & Recreation Area is a premier Nordic sports centre for cross-country skiers and has ample space for the snowshoe enthusiast to spend the day as well.
