SANTAS BUS TOUR  

Santa’s Bus Tour returns this weekend to share Christmas joy with Red Deerians of all ages! The City of Red Deer has helped to ensure Santa can visit every neighbourhood, but due to his busy schedule, he cannot visit every street. Please choose the route closest to your home to catch a glimpse of Santa and his team.

PARKLAND GARDEN CENTRE CRAFT & MARKET SALE  

Shop for beautiful Christmas gifts from local vendors and artisans.  

When: Saturday, December 17 from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm  
Where: Parkland is located 3 minutes East of 30th Avenue, Red Deer on Highway 11 East.
Cost: Admission is a food item for the Food Bank

RED DEER REBELS GAME

Cheer on the Red Deer Rebels as they play the Swift Current Broncos. The game starts at 7:00 pm at the Peavey Mart Centrium.

When: Saturday, December 17, 2022.  
Where: Peavey Mart Centrium, Westerner Park  
Cost: $17-$27 per person  

BLUE GRASS NURSERY & SOD FARM CHRISTMAS MARKET  

Check out over 35 unique local vendors in this magical Christmas greenhouse at Blue Grass Red Deer. Christmas markets featuring local makers and picture opportunities with Grinch and Santa.  

When: Sunday, December 18 from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm

KERRY WOOD NATURE CENTRE KID'S WINTER BIRD FEEDING

Join an Interpreter for a walk around the 1 km trail to learn how birds make it through the winter without the help of a pair of fuzzy socks. Finish the day off by making your very own bird feeder from natural materials.

When: Saturday, December 17, 2022
Where: 5400 42 Ave. Innisfail, AB T4G 1P9  
Cost: $10/kid and pre-registration is required

LIGHT THE NIGHT ATTRACTION AT DISCOVERY WILDLIFE PARK

Light the Night at Discovery Wildlife Park in Innisfail has more than 25km of light displays! The display is estimated to be a 20-25 min drive. At the end of the display, you can stop in at the gift shop for a hot beverage.

When: Every night until January 15, 2023
Where: 5400 42 Ave. Innisfail, AB T4G 1P9  
Cost: $30 plus GST per vehicle

CAPSTONE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS  

Check out the Christmas lights in Capstone. The neighbourhood will shine bright all season long with festive light displays, decorative planters, and more.

When: December 1 - 24, 2022
Where: Canada 150 Square & Riverwalk
Cost: FREE

CITY HALL LIGHTS  

Stroll through City Hall Park to enjoy a beautiful display of lights and Christmas decorations. The lights are illuminated every day, from sunset to sunrise.

When: Every night through the holiday season  
Where: 4914 48 Ave, Red Deer, AB T4N 3T3
Cost: FREE

BOWER PONDS SKATING

Skating at Bower Ponds is now open and is a great way to get into the festive spirit. If you don’t own any skates that’s okay as they have rentals and a selection of skating supplies. Be sure to warm up in the pavilion with a nice hot chocolate.

When: December to March
