For many, Sylvan Lake beckons as a crown jewel of summer fun. An enticing drive given, given the community’s central location, and as a recreational hub, there’s nothing quite like it in Alberta. With the summer fast upon us, it has fast become the it place to be has begun. With that in mind, here’s a few things happening in Sylvan Lake this summer you’re going to want to hit up. Let’s get physical.
If you’re feeling the itch to take a boat and go for a rip or two on a nearby body of water, a few places have you covered. SunSport Recreation’s the rental spot of choice, offering boats, sea doo’s, paddleboards, wakeboards, kayaks, pontoon boats and much more. Mantra Water Sports also offers a myriad of options, including rental drop-offs for ease of convenience. With that in mind, it’s best to book as early as you can to ensure you can get your water sport toy.
Here’s a bright alternative if you find yourself seeking more adventure than what an average boat ride can offer; flyboarding is a relatively new extreme sport where riders bolt a device to their feet and with the help of propulsion, blast through water or in the air. Alberta Flyboard offers lessons for those inexperienced, and it’s safe to say that would apply to all of us reading this.
Sylvan Lake Aqua Park
The Sylvan Lake Aqua Splash presents a unique way of taking lake fun to new heights. Sylvan Lake will now sport an aqua park made up of German-constructed Wibit pool inflatable pieces that sit in the water like a massive fortress for flocks of kids to conquer. Sylvan Lake Aqua Splash throws plenty of obstacles and challenges to keep the experience physically demanding, and there’s more to the story though; much like LEGO, Wibit pieces are meant to interlock and join to form even larger battlestations of fun and adventure.
The Aqua Splash Park will soon be an amazing fixture on Sylvan Lake!
