What is Skijoring?

Experience a breathtaking exhibition of horse-riding, trick-riding, and high-flying ski stunts that brings the spirit of the West to the snow. This exhilarating event invites you to watch Alberta’s finest cowboys, cowgirls, and “Skijorlings” partner with elite trick skiers to thrill the crowd in a snowy mash-up of skiing and rodeo.

In the heart-pounding sport of Skijoring, a skier clips into their gear, grabs a towline, and is whisked across the track by a galloping horse and rider, creating an unforgettable display of teamwork and winter athleticism.
