Have you been to the Parkland Nurseries and Garden Centre lately? They represent spring with their vast selection of flowers, herbs, seeds, bulbs and everything else garden-related. They’ve got a variety of spring courses happening this month aimed to help you with your garden such as recognizing the magic behind hanging moss baskets (April 21) and spectacular container gardens (April 28).
Ever wanted to do something drastic – like pulling off a Spring Fever run? This is the year to do it! April 21 sees Red Deer residents come together to tackle either a 5k or 10k run in support of the MS Society of Central Alberta. All ages are welcome, and it’ll be sure to be a great day.

Fresh off a 25th anniversary celebration and hosting 150 of the country’s best artists, designers and artisans, you won’t find a better source for the best in fashion, jewellery, home decor, gourmet food and more. Lastly, there’s the Mane Event happening from the 27 – 29, an all-inclusive hands-on horse expo. They’ve got clinics on how to improve your equestrian skills, presentations on the latest trends in the horse industry and some awesome shows to take in.
