Pursuit Adventures

Winter tours start November 2nd
Discover the magic of winter. Play in the snow, catch up with friends and make the most out of this amazing season. In case you were wondering, we love winter! Try an evening of snowshoeing in the city or join us for a full or half day tour exploring David Thompson Country, from the ice bubbles to frozen waterfalls and canyons. Our small group size allows us to be flexible while on tour and to slow down to enjoy the journey. We take care of all the logistics, transportation, equipment and lunch so that all you have to do is enjoy the breathtaking destinations Central Alberta has to offer. Departures from Red Deer, Rocky Mountain House, Nordegg and Abraham Lake are available on most adventures.

Matt Gould has created abstracted portraits of women based on words and artifacts supplied by them. When seen in assembly, these columns are reminiscent of trees in a clearing, maypoles or memorials, each reflecting the nature and personality of the subjects.

Canyon Ski Resort

With 70 acres of skiable terrain, 18 runs and 6 lifts, Canyon is the best thing to do in Red Deer in the winter! The resort offers a Terrain Park, Super Pipe, Snow Tube Park, a rustic lodge, cafeteria and cozy lounge. A day at Canyon is sure to be fun for everyone. Canyon‘s vast snow-making system which covers 95% of the area gives you a jump on the season and ensures great conditions throughout the winter.

Parkland Garden Centre Craft and Market Sales

November 10th, 17th & 24th

Parkland Garden’s Craft and Market sales provide local craftspeople the opportunity to showcase their handmade crafts, art and foods and offer them to customers in time for Christmas. It’s a great time to come out and purchase that unique, handmade gift that you have been looking for this season. Admission is free but a donation to the Red Deer Food Bank is appreciated.
