Spring has finally arrived and with Easter just around the corner, you will be looking for some fun things to do with your family and loved ones, so hop ahead and go Explore Red Deer’s Backyard.
It’s time to go on an Easter adventure! What better way to start than at Heritage Ranch for their Chase the Easter Bunny Hunt happening March 24 to April 5. You can start your adventure anytime between 10:00 am and 7:00 pm, check it out for a hopping good time.
Virtual experiences are always welcome, here are some online Easter activities for you to enjoy. It’s all about Easter at Bunnyville hosted by Parkland Mall and is the place to explore virtual games and various learning activities, bound to be lots of fun!
Bower Mall will be hosting an Eggciting Virtual Easter Storytime with Bo the Bower Bunny, March 27, 28 and April 2 via Zoom. Make sure you book a spot for you and your children as there will be a special group story catered just for them. They will also be having special curbside visits from Bo the Bower Bunny for 10 lucky households! Enter to win by visiting their Facebook and Instagram pages.
Don’t forget to stop by Bower Mall’s Centre Court rustic-chic selfie station and snap a selfie starting March 22 to April 3. Upload your selfie to Instagram with #EasteratBower and visit guest services to claim your chocolatey prize with a surprise inside. There Snap-a-Pick Crack-an-Egg Easter treat is only available while supplies last, so hop to it!
This Saturday the Easter Bunny will be hopping his way to several local businesses for a photo and greet at Mom’s Diner, 10:00 – 11:00 am, Glenn’s Restaurant, 11:30 am – 12:30 pm, Parkland Garden Centre, 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm and Heritage Ranch from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
If you are looking to add a personal touch this Easter for your little ones, then Premier Academy has you covered with their Socially Distanced Easter Bunny Visits. The Easter Bunny will stop by for a socially distanced visit, a picture and will even leave a little bag of goodies, just for you. Space is limited, so pre-registration is required. Red Deer is on April 2, Blackfalds and Sylvan Lake will be on April 3. The cost is $20 for members, $25 for non-member and additional children are $5.00 each.
Not sure what to prepare for your special Easter Day meal? Then why not leave the work to Memphis Blues BBQ House, their phones have been ringing off the hook for their smoked Easter Turkeys and Hams, so give them a call to order yours, and enjoy!
You can also jump on over to Gasoline Alley Farmers’ Market, they have everything you need to create the perfect Easter meal, full of delicious local produce, products and don’t forget dessert!
Mountains of Easter treats can be found at Sweet Market ESSO, shop their huge variety of candy to help the Easter Bunny with his deliveries and don’t resist the temptation to fill your own basket! If you can’t find that special Easter egg head down to Parkland Garden Centre, their Easter candy has arrived with some unique items as well.
West Lake Grill at Heritage Ranch is offering a three-course Easter Brunch, April 3-5 and Easter Dinner, April 2-5. The Cambridge Red Deer Hotel and Conference Centre is also having an Easter Sunday Brunch, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at the RR Grill on April 4. This is a great opportunity to take the family out and leave the cooking to the professionals.
