Canyon Ski Resort offers families and individuals of all ages an Alpine Recreational Facility that is only 8 minutes east of Red Deer. It’s the largest non-mountain downhill ski resort in Alberta with a variety of packages and programs throughout the season.
The 28.6 hectare ski area has 20 runs, six lifts, lights for night skiing 3 days a week, a large ski school, equipment rentals, cafeteria and rustic lodge. With a 164-metre vertical drop, there is terrain for advanced, intermediate and novice skiers.
The two chair lifts, two T-bars and magic carpet can transport over 5,000 people per hour, so you can maximize your runs in the day. Canyon‘s vast snow-making system gives skiers and boarders a jump on the season and ensures great conditions throughout the winter.
A spacious day lodge gives you a break from the cold with a beautiful fireplace. The lodge provides a cozy place for a nice meal and warm drink. A fully licensed lounge provides a great opportunity to kick back with friends, enjoy a drink and infamous TUBE and DINE every Friday night!
