Take the Waskasoo Community Association’s self-guided Waskasoo Walking Tour and discover the history and character of this unique Red Deer neighborhood. Winner of a 2018 Red Deer and Area Heritage Award, the free tour explores local architecture, history, and the diverse influences that have shaped Waskasoo. The approximately 5-kilometre route is divided into three sections and takes about 1½ to 2 hours to complete. Copies are available at Red Deer City Hall, the Downtown Library, Alberta Sports Hall of Fame, and Kerry Wood Nature Centre, with digital and paper copies also available through the Waskasoo Community Association.
