The Weayaya Solar Powered Music Festival was inaugurated in 2013 to demonstrate the role of solar energy in fueling a new reality, to promote Alberta Talent and to prove that solar technology is a viable alternative to petroleum, coal and nuclear energy.Besides a musical line of talented singers and musicians , there will be beer gardens and a food truck on site. However as generators are not compatible with the philosophy of the festival, options are limited. You are encouraged to bring your own meals/snacks, and dishes, cutlery, etc. Washing up facilities are provided, as well as a public BBQ/picnic area.Weekend passes include free camping in an open field (no hook-ups). Checkout their website for a list of entertainers and details .
