Check the detailed program at the www.rdpl.org From See to Sound to See - Sylvia Shaddock Taylor Thursday, September 3rd at 12:15pm A contemporary piano music concert titled From See to Sound to See, which explores how visual artists “see” music and how composers “hear” art featuring an all Alberta creative team of 3 pairs of artist/composer partners, who have created works based on each other’s pieces. Music of The Diary of Anne Frank Thursday, September 10th at 12:15pm Pianist Kathleen van Mourik, founder and co-artistic director of the Mountain View International Festival of Song and Olena Kilchyk, principal cellist with Calgary Bach Society and a Red Deer Symphony Orchestra member present music surrounding The Diary of Anne Frank The Obsessions String Quartet Thursday, September 17th at 12:15pm The Obsessions String Quartet has performed concerts across Alberta as well as USA, Greece, England, Hungary, Czech Republic, and Poland. They are part of four recordings by Kent Sangster’s Obsessions Octet as well as the Octet's debut in Carnegie Hall, NYC in 2012 and 2016 concerts in Rochester, recorded by PBS Public American Television. Sneak Preview: They Call Me Coco Thursday, September 24th at 12:15pm They Call Me Coco, the rock opera, is a newly composed contemporary opera based on the life of fashion icon Coco Chanel by the Alberta composer Cheryl Cooney with creative collaboration by Anna Maria Kaufmann.
