A Talk by Dr. Brenda Garrett

Dr. Brenda Garrett is the proprietor of Waskasoo Word Works and author of a series of heritage context papers prepared for the City of Red Deer. In this presentation, she outlines her recent context paper on Convent Hill and discusses her research into the Métis cemetery located there. Join her as she explains how that research lead to a Library and Archives Canada search that uncovered some of the hidden histories of Red Deer’s early Métis communities.
