Guided Family City Nature Challenge Friday, April 30 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, May 1 from 6:00 to 7:00 a.m. Sunday, May 2 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 3 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Join us for a guided bioblitz in the Gaetz Lakes Sanctuary as part of the city of Red Deer’s City Nature Challenge 2021 from April 30 to May 3, 2021. This project encompasses Red Deer County and Lacombe County, which includes Red Deer, Lacombe, Bentley, Blackfalds, Bowden, Eckville, Innisfail, Penhold, and Sylvan Lake. We will be identifying and recording all wildlife that we see and reporting to the City of Red Deer. Bring your own magnifying glasses and binoculars, as well as a notepad and pen to record your findings. Please note that everyone who attends this program must wear a mask! This is a FREE program but requires pre-registration. One adult pre-registers to hold your family’s spot. Pre-registration required the day before each event by 4:30 p.m. Limited number of spaces available. Please note that pre-registration is required for this program and only over the phone.
