May 18 Plantain Salve

May 18 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
Natural plantain salve in a small container with fresh leaves around it, used for soothing skin irritations and minor wounds.

Join us on Monday, May 18 from 10:30am – 12pm for a hands-on workshop where participants will create their own plantain salve! Plantain has been used by many Indigenous groups as a natural, gentle remedy known for helping soothe cuts and relieve dry skin. Using plantain harvested right here at Ellis Nature Centre, we will combine plantain infused sunflower oil with coconut oil, beeswax, and your essential oil of choice to make a take-home jar of salve. Participants may harvest additional plantain during the workshop to take home and make their own salve. This workshop is $10 per person with 30 spots available
