Join us for our 3rd Afro-Caribbean Festival! We invite you to bring your friends and family for a day filled with entertainment, including vendors, music, a drum circle, performers, dancers, kids’ activities, a beer garden, a 50/50 raffle, and much more! We strive to bring Central Alberta’s community together by inviting people from all walks of life, friends, and family! We want to celebrate cross-cultural and promote multicultural days. By celebrating people’s cultures, it opens up the opportunity for people to connect with Central Alberta’s community. There was a recent survey concerned about newcomers’ mental health, and we want newcomers to feel connected with their culture in Central Alberta. We aim to reduce newcomers’ mental health concerns by inviting them to bring their culture to the festival and celebrate with us.
On Saturday, please bring your country’s flag, as we will have a flag ceremony and want every culture represented.
On Sunday, we ask you to wear your cultural attire, and we will play music from your culture at the festival. The individual who best represents their culture through creativity in their attire will win a trophy award!
