Join award-winning metal artist Teena Dickerson and create your own pendant. Learn to cut, file, drill, sand, and polish your own unique wearable art. This is an 18+ event. - Open Studio Tour
- The Writing on the Wall: Works of Dr. Joane Cardinal-Schubert, RCA
On that first Friday of every month, join the galleries in downtown Red Deer in celebrating local, regional, and national artistic talent. The galleries are abuzz with art experiences, open gallery spaces, social mingling and entertainment. First Friday Red Deer is the perfect way to kick off your weekend.

The Red Deer Arts Council has partnered with 19 visual artists in 14 different studios to bring your an amazing, one-of-a-kind experience. Tour these private art studios from 1 pm – 4 pm and see the process behind creating fine art. From sculpted clay to canvas, you’re sure to learn something new. This is a free, self-guided experience.
June 23rd – 24th
This exhibit features pivitol pieces in painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, ceramics, and installation. The theme of The Writing on the Wall is a deep exploration into the personal investigations of Canada’s colonial history and Cardinal-Schubert’s own Kainai heritage.

It’s time to get the kids outdoors and what better way than heading out to the Rotary Recreation Park for lots of activities, entertainment, and fun for the whole family. At the Children’s Festival, we never grow up! - Robin Hood and the Musical
Presented by the Cornerstone Youth Theatre, join in the adventure as Nottingham rocks in this exciting take on the legend of Robin Hood. Tickets available from the Cornerstone box office. - 1913 Days in Sylvan Lake

Head out to Westerner Park for a day of highland dance, heavy sports competition, piping and drumming competition, Celtic fair and demonstrations. Whether you’re a Scot or not, bring out the family for some fun!

Join Mayor Tara Veer at 2:00 pm in City Hall Park for an afternoon of live musical entertainment, visual artist paintings, and refreshments reminiscent of Victorian garden parties.

- A Tribute to Elvis in Concert
For the first time in Alberta, two of the world’s most well-known Elvis tribute artists will be performing live at the Memorial Centre. Pete Paquette and Chris Connor have been performing their amazing Tribute show in front of thousands and are now bringing their talent to Red Deer. Accompanied by an eleven piece band, this show is a must see for any rock’n roll fan. - The Comic Strippers
The Comic Strippers are a fictitious male tripper troupe that perform a hilarious improv show. This show is an 18+ event for all genders. No extreme nudity, just extreme hilarity. Tickets available at The Black Knight Inn ticket centre. - Ross Street Patio
Watch downtown Red Deer come alive with live music featuring the famous Ross Street Patio Parties. You can enjoy free live performances all summer long!
The third annual RUMRUNNER 2018 is back! Scavenge downtown Red Deer with your team in a quest to become the ultimate bootlegger. Join in the liquor laced, prank riddled, racy good fun for an unforgettable night.

Angelo Tsarouchas is performing live at the Memorial Centre! This Canadian comedian has performed on the hit TV show Mad Men and in the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival. Tickets can be purchased at the Black Knight ticket centre.
