Every November, Red Deer hosts to one of Canada’s leading agricultural events — the Agri-Trade Equipment Expo at Westerner Park. For more than 40 years, this renowned show has connected farmers, innovators, and industry professionals from across North America, cementing its place as one of the country’s top agricultural exhibitions.

What Is Agri-Trade? 

Born from a partnership between the Red Deer & District Chamber of Commerce and Westerner Park in 1984, Agri-Trade has earned its reputation as one of the premier farm equipment shows in North America. Each year, more than 32,000 qualified agricultural buyers and 500 exhibitors gather to do business, explore new technologies, and plan for the season ahead. 

With an estimated $300 million in annual equipment sales and tourism spending, Agri-Trade isn’t just an event, it’s a major economic driver for Red Deer and the region.

Billy Bob’s Bar: A Red Deer Tradition, Reimagined 

For decades, Billy Bob’s was a beloved Red Deer institution, a go-to hangout for Agri-Trade visitors looking to unwind after a day on the show floor. The original bar has since closed, but its spirit lives on inside the Ag East Gallery at Westerner Park

Join fellow attendees at Billy Bob’s Bar for live music, great company, and daily food and drink specials that capture the lively, welcoming energy that’s always been part of Agri-Trade. 

Daily Entertainment Line-Up: 

  • Mechanical Bull: 12:30 – 4:30 p.m. 
  • Cole Martin Live Performance: 1 – 4 p.m.

Getting to Agri-Trade 

Westerner Park is conveniently located just off Highway 2 (QEII), halfway between Calgary and Edmonton, making it easily accessible for visitors across Alberta and beyond. 

From Northbound Highway 2: 
Take Exit 391, cross Mackenzie Road (Twp Rd 374), follow the service road north to 17th Street, turn right, then left on 49th Avenue. Westerner Park will be on your right. 

From Southbound Highway 2: 
Take Exit 394, turn right onto Taylor Drive, then right onto 19th Street (Secondary Highway 595). Continue east past Gaetz Avenue — Westerner Park will appear on your right.
