Red Deer Arts Council

The Kiwanis Gallery, operated by the Red Deer Arts Council, hosts exhibitions that include visual artists from around the province working in all media and subject matter, from landscapes to abstracts and includes both 2D and 3D work. We host two school exhibits; one from five Middle Schools; the other is two High Schools dealing with advanced placement and International Baccalaureate Students.

Red Deer Arts Council operates the Kiwanis Gallery at the Red Deer Public Library as a partnership. The Gallery is open the same hours as the Library except for the evening of the First Friday of the month when we host an opening for the exhibitions being presented there. The space is in the lower level of the Library and is adjacent to the Snell Auditorium which is where our openings are held. We also showcase local performers and writers at our alternate openings.

The Red Deer Arts Council office is in the Scott Block, 111, 4818 – 40 Avenue, Red Deer, AB T4N 4A3
Red Deer Public Library is at 4818 – 49 Street, Red Deer.

Kiwanis Gallery exhibits are listed on our website as well as the First Friday Red Deer Gallery openings for the galleries in Red Deer.

We welcome artist and curator submissions to the gallery on a two-year rotation. Check the website for the next call for submissions.
