Radisson Red Deer pool

A great stay starts with relaxation, exciting things to-do and delicious food. Radisson Red Deer offers all three of those things wrapped up into one amazing getaway. Here’s three reasons to choose the Radisson Red Deer for your next visit to Red Deer…

1) Relaxation at its best

Whether you’re in town for travelling pleasure, business or an event like a wedding – relaxation is key. For most vacationers, feeling relaxed and rejuvenated is a big part of the experience. A lot of business travel can have an element of stress and once the work is done for the day it’s nice to relax back at the hotel. Attending a wedding is all about feeling luxurious, loving and you guessed it – relaxed.

The relaxation starts at Radisson Red Deer’s heated pool, beautiful hot tub and steam room. Once you feel completely rejuvenated, it’s time to head to the on-site salon – Solace to get pampered. The unique benefits of having a salon in the hotel mean that you can conveniently get pampered without leaving the building!

If your idea of relaxing has more to do with having some fun, Radisson Red Deer’s impressively equipped games room is where you’ll likely be found. Rewind as you play pool, table tennis, foosball and air hockey. Afterwards, head to West 67’s lounge (located in the hotel) for mouthwatering wings and a cold beverage.

2) Top-notch location

With Radisson’s awesome location – a carefree day or night on the town is also an option. Downtown Red Deer is less than five minutes away.

Here you will find plenty to do. Downtown Red Deer offers 37 restaurants and over 150 retailers. Enjoy a little boutique window shopping, a delicious bite to eat from the worldly selection or just walk around and look at the amazing public art and ghost statues. In the summertime take in Food Truck Fridays, the Downtown Market as well as Ross Street Patio.

If your looking for something local and cool – The Kombrewery, located just west of downtown makes kombucha (a fermented tea) uniquely named Wild Child Brew. A healthier alternative to pop – expect a fizzy, refreshing and Insta-worthy experience.

For something a bit stronger but equally cool and local – Red Deer’s Troubled Monk Brewery is quickly gaining recognition across the province with its award-winning beers. Stop by the Troubled Monk’s taproom to try it out, book a brewery tour or have a pint at one of the many local restaurants that carry it.

If you’ve got a couple hours to spare, the Red Deer Museum (locally known as the MAG) is located downtown and offers a wonderfully immersive experience. Their permanent Remarkable Red Deer exhibit tells the story of Central Alberta’s cherished history. They also offer a fascinating array of rotating exhibits, meaning there’s always something new to discover. Allow 45 minutes to 2 hours to fully enjoy the MAG.

After you’re done adventuring downtown, head back to the hotel for another dip in the whirlpool hot tub, pool or steam room – all open late until 11pm.

3) Delicious food, onsite

Hungry? West 67 Grill has a number of delectable options that are beautifully presented. With a mix of Asian, Caribbean and North American options – there’s something that suits every craving. Room service is also an option from 6am to 10pm, for those wanting a quieter meal in the comfort of their room.

The Radisson Red Deer also offers complimentary continental breakfast at West 67 Grill. Wake up to freshly baked pastries, waffles, fresh fruit, cooked meat, eggs, cereals and more – all for free.

These are just three of the reasons why Radisson Red Deer is an excellent choice for your next Central Alberta stay!
