The Red Deer Cultural Heritage Society has played a very significant role in the preservation and promotion of diverse cultural and ethnic traditions and in the preservation of two historic buildings in the community of Red Deer. It has contributed to a sense of community and pride in our city of Red Deer.

The Society has produced the Canada Day Celebration since 1969. This festival has provided a great opportunity for the community to celebrate its heritage and allowed for people of all ages and ethnic backgrounds to come together, learn about different cultures, and enjoy food, music, dance and traditions from around the world.

Through its renovation and operation of historic Festival Hall, since 1988, RDCHS has created a unique community facility where many ethno- cultural events and activities have been held over the years, in addition to school, community, non-profit, government, business, and family functions.
