Summer School. Red Deer College has amazing summer day camps that focus on sports, music, dance and many other interests. Kids can build a soapbox racer, design and build their own robot, learn to cook with a chef and much more.
Circus School. CentreFest, the Red Deer Street Performers Festival, has wonderful outdoor entertainment and Circus School for kids who want to learn to juggle or walk a tight rope.
Make a Splash. There are five splash parks in Red Deer and more in the surrounding communities. Under reconstruction for the 2016 season, Discovery Canyon is one of the most unique municipal water parks in the province and needs to be in your plans for a return visit.
Peaceful Playgrounds. You won’t want to miss Imagination Grove Nature Playground and the new interactive and accessible musical playground Harmony Garden at Kerry Wood Nature Centre.
Kid-Friendly Museums. Interactive museums make it fun to explore and discover history with your family. Kids particularly enjoy visiting the animals at Sunnybrook Farm Museum, a real pioneer farm right inside the city, and the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame & Museum to discover famous Alberta sports celebrities.
